Description
The K2 Alchemist Snowboard is a directional freeride board built for advanced riders who chase steep lines, deep snow, and long carves at speed. Its mix of directional camber, a stiff S1 Pro Core, and the Carbon Power Fork running through the nose drives precise turn initiation, while the Spectral Braid and SpaceGlass laminates add torsional snap without the harshness of a full-carbon layup.
Key Features
- Directional Freeride Shape: Set-back stance and tapered tail keep the nose floating in powder while staying powerful in firm conditions.
- S1 Pro Core with Carbon Power Fork: Drives precise turn initiation and holds an edge through aggressive carving.
- Wax Infused Sintered 4001 Base: One of the fastest bases K2 builds, low-maintenance with serious glide.
- Spectral Braid and SpaceGlass: Layered fiber technology for lively snap and torsional precision.
- Snophobic Topsheet: Sheds snow buildup so the board stays light from first chair to last.

Snowboard Sizing Guide
How to Choose a Snowboard Length
A general starting point: stand a board on its tail and it should reach somewhere between your chin and nose. Longer boards are more stable at speed; shorter boards are easier to turn and better for park. Your weight matters more than your height – heavier riders should size up. Call us at (614) 848-6600 and our snowboard staff will help you narrow it down.
Board Shape Explained
All-mountain boards handle groomed runs and some powder. True twin boards are ideal for park and riding switch. Directional boards have a stiffer tail and softer nose for powder and freeride. Ask us which shape fits your style.
